Looking Glass

I'm a looking glass.
Look at me and let me show you
all the beauty you refuse to see in yourself.

Look into my eyes.
Trust in me and I can show you
why the world keeps turning round for a second glance

Hold onto my hand
Believe in me and I can show you
That surrendering yourself to trust is not a sin.

Warm to my embrace
Confide in me and I can show you
That confidences don't have to be painful.

This poem is dedicated to my new friend Mercy, who has become a looking glass of sorts for me.
